This 12-day tour showcases Zhangjiajie along with an unforgettable cruise of the Yangtze River.
Day 1
Arrive Beijing. Tour guide will Arrive Beijing. Our tour guide will meet you at airport or train station and transfer you to hotel.
Day 2 (Meals: B, L)
Day trip to Mutianyu Great Wall section and afternoon Hutong tour to see the old Beijing neighborhood and local families by rickshaw ride.
Day 3 (Meals: B, L)
Morning tour to Beijing Capital Museum and Lama Temple (Yonghegong). Afternoon visit the 798 Art District – hub for contemporary Chinese art. Transfer to airport and take afternoon flight to Zhangjiajie, Hunan. Guide meet and transfer to hotel upon arrival.
Day 4 (Meals: B, L)
Depart to Zhangjiajie scenic area – China First National Forest Park and World Natural Heritage site (UNESCO). Tour Huangshizhai Fort and Golden Whip Brook. Unforgettable experience when you see the same floating mountain as presented in Avatar’s movie – the Hallelujah Mt. in the recent hit movie Avatar is pictured here.
Day 5 (Meals: B, L)
Day tour to Tianzishan & Yuanjiajie Mountains. Natural Resource Reserve known as the 4 natural spectacles – the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain, the amazing views of the rising sun, the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks including more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery. Transfer to Changsha, the capital of Hunan province.
Day 6 (Meals: B, L)
Take morning flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival, take city tour visiting People Square, Huguang Guild Hall, General Stewell Museum, Erling Park and Three Gorges Museum. Transfer to pier in later afternoon to board the cruise. Cruise departing Chongqing at 9:00PM.
Day 7 (Meals: B, L, D)
Shore excursion to Shibao Pagoda, Fengdu or Wanzhou based on cruise ship.
Day 8 (Meals: B, L, D)
Sail through Qutang Gorge/Wu Gorge, excursion to Daning River. Sail through the 3 Gorges shiplocks.
Day 9 (Meals: B, L)
Morning visit Three Gorges Dam site. Arrive Yichang at noon. Guide meet and take city tour if time permits before transfer to airport for departure to Shanghai by afternoon flight. Transfer to hotel upon arrival.
Day 10 (Meals: B, L)
Day tour to Jade Buddha Temple, Bund, Yu Garden, Shanghai Old Town and Shanghai Museum. Acrobatic show in the evening.
Day 11 (Meals: B)
Day free to explore and shopping in Shanghai on own arrangement.
Day 12 (Meals: B)
Day free till transfer to airport for departure.
